We will be returning toPuerto Calero and the Hotel Costa Calero for the third time in Sept 2011. It is a fantastic hotel with great staff, fabulous food/drinks and although we are all inclusive guests, we are not limited to having to drink the local alcohol - instead we can choose from a vast range of drinks and cocktails. We travel extensively always all inclusive and have yet to find a hotel which can match this one. The resort itself is very small with only a handful of shops and a beautiful marina. Puerto del carmen is only a short bus or taxi ride away. For a totally chill out holiday Puerto Calero is hard to beat!

I agree with the comments... this is a really really beautiful place& I visited here in 2006 and hope to return next year (2010. although im not sure who to go with for the best deal this time, any anyone point me in the right direction?&
href="http://www.cheapflightsholidaysto.co.uk/cheap-holidays-to-lanzarote">http://www.cheapflightsholidaysto.co.uk/cheap-holidays-to-lanzarote ...ive looked at this website, it lists the most popular flight, holiday and hotel destinations. It has resort information and has a search feature to find the latest deals on offers. are sites like these the best place to get good deals on cheap holidays to lanzarote... does anyone have any recommendations? also where would be the best place to stay during the winter months (i.e. November)?
Thanks
Emma

Lanzarote Puerto Calero, Iberostar Costa Calero Hotel - the best place i have been to in years!
My husband and i along with our nine year old daughter travelled here for the first week in September, i had bought the holiday as a present for his 40th birthday.
The hotel is large and sprawling with 4 swimming pools on 3 different levels one being a salt water pool. The pools and the areas around them were kept very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The restaurants were never very busy so no queing for food, a wide selection including a roast every night along with steak or chops and seafood, lots of choice. I think the problem some people have is they try everything at once and over indulge then they get fed up up of the food. I thought the food was good.
There is a piano bar that serves cocktails and all branded spirits and they were extremly generous with the measures, have to say some of the entertainment in here was cheesy but to the point it was funny so we really enjoyed it singing along and having a giggle.
Didn't really use the downstairs bar so can't comment.
Peurto calero is a pretty harbour with some nice restaurants and designer shops, tommy hifiger, lacost, ralph lauren, boss etc and still a few more. The harbour is down a steep hill but managable if you take your time and try not to attempt it at 4 oclock when it is soooo hot. Its only about a five minute walk.
Overall very quiet and relaxing which was just what we were looking for good all round and value for money i didn't meet anyone with any complaints while i was there everyone was more than happy. Hope this helps. I would reccomend.
Thanks,
Sarah
