Lanzarote Resorts - Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca (White Beach) is a very up and coming resort in Lanzarote. Once a little fishing village at the South-western coast of the island, Playa Blanca has been developing over the past few years (and still is) into a large tourist resort.

Within Playa Blanca you will find the most modern Hotels on the Island, this is mainly due to all the new developments on this resort. Like the other resorts in Lanzarote, you will of course find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants for you to choose from.

The main attractions in Playa Blanca the nearby beaches. Some of the best beaches in the Canary Islands are just four miles (six km) away at Papagayo Beach. The resort is mainly geared for families and couples looking for a relaxing time either on one of the beaches or wandering around the promenade looking to do some shopping.

A night out in Playa Blanca will of course not be as busy as the likes of Puerto Del Carmen but there is plenty of entertainment for you to choose from. If you are looking for a more lively night out you will have to travel over to Puerto Del Carmen.

From Playa Blanca you are also around 15 minutes ride from Fuerteventura which is the closest Islands to Lanzarote. This allows you to travel over and explore some of the best beaches in the world.

One of the newest areas in Playa Blanca is Marina Rubicon. This marina is now complete and is becoming the most popular harbour in Lanzarote. There are already many shops and restaurants around the harbour and is now home to many different excursions.

Playa Blanca is home to most of the first class hotels and apartments in Lanzarote, with a very good selection of 4 and 5 star hotels. If you are interested in staying in Playa Blanca then we suggest visiting our Playa Blanca Hotels and Apartments online booking section.

If you are interested in more information on Playa Blanca, then you can visit our sister site Playa Blanca Reviews which has information, reviews and ratings on Playa Blanca Hotels, Playa Blanca Bars, Playa Blanca Apartments and much more.

Been to Playa Blanca four times now with friends, family and my young children. An absolutely beautiful resort, completely unspoiled, lovely restaurants, shops, market and people.

the resort is brilliant! ive been going to playa blanca for about 10 years now, theres so many bars, restaurants, shops, beaches and everything me and my family can never decide what to do or where to go. the seas are lovely, they look as clear as the fresh water pools, i reccomend anyone who goes to playa blanca goes on a glass bottom boat ride to see the dolphins! its amazing.

Really enjoyed Playa Blanca - I was there 'off season' (April), the weather was great (not quite sea swimming temp' though). The local area is undergoing alot of development and consequently most of the buildings, roads, shops & restaurants are new / very comfortable. It is 'laid back' in comparison to Puerto del Carmen, but if you're looking for a relaxing holiday - this is one of the best resorts I've known for that.

I love Playa Blanca. It is perfect for a young family. We hired a villa in November and enjoyed it so much we are going back again next month. It has lovely quiet, sandy beaches. Very child friendly restaurants and stunning scenery. Brilliant shopping especially for those duty free purchases. Only 41 sleeps and we'll be back.

Playa Blanca is personally my favourite resort of Lanzarote which is why I chose to live here. Providing me with one of the most attractive locations to live, with good services and amenities ... and if I want a big night out it's only a short taxi ride to Puerto Del Carmen!

Love Playa Blanca - it's got everything you need from great beaches, to sports bars, to nice restaurants and you're not too far from anywhere on the island to visit all the major tourist sites. My personal favourite resort by miles!

Playa Blanca stands head and shoulders above the other resorts on the island. It has kept its development in keeping with the country, the beaches and the environment. It provides whatever you may want ,from good clean sandy beaches, to quality shopping and recreational areas, high quality hotels and villas and apartments for the self-catering. A variety of restaurants catering for all tastes, and all budgets. Finally its night-life and bars provide a comprehensive range of activities, perhaps not quite so lively as Puerto del Carmen, but satisfactory enough for me as a member of the retired brigade. I can choose to have a quiet relaxing time there, or live it up with my son who lives there. I believe he made a wise choice in living in Playa Blanca.

Playa Blanca is absolutely lovely, its clean with lots of bars and restaurants and no one hassling you to come into bars/shops etc. The beaches are beautiful and the walk along the promenade is quite addictive, I would certainly go back year after year if I could
