Early this morning a Boeing-737 carrying just 74 passengers skidded off the runway at lanzarote’s only airport and came to a stop just before the beach.

The Air Air Europa flight from Glasgow was coming in to land around 06:30 this morning when due to problems the plane did land but was unable to stop before the end of the runway.

The planes 74 passengers and crew were unharmed but a little shaken up.

All of the flights in and out of Lanzarote Airport have been grounded for a unknown amount of time while they investigate the cause of the crash.
