Las Tres Islas (The Three Island) is a new event to Lanzarote.  This challenge which started in 2006 is a race across 3 islands (hence the name of the event) and proved to be very successful.

This year, the event will take place on Saturday June 2nd.

Tres Islas is a new form of quadrathlon, adapting the traditional form of triathlon.

The race starts on the Island of La Graciosa where you have to swim 2km to Lanzarote.  Once on Lanzarote you have to climb 2km up a steep cliff, from here you bike 72km to Playa Blanca and on arrival sail accross to Fuerteventura which is 10km.

With a total of 86km this event allows competitors to compete solo or as a team.

There is only limited places for this event so if you are interested in taking part you should sign up as soon as possible at the offical website Youths United
