When visiting Lanzarote for the first time people often ask the question of which attractions and excursions are the best ones.

Attractions

There are two attractions that when visiting Lanzarote are a must:

Timanfaya National Park - This attraction is what made the lanscape in Lanzarote, it is the best known feature of Lanzarote and the most talked about.  The trip to the top of the volcaneo not only offers stunning views but is also interesting as you get to find out about the power a volcaneo actually has.

Cesar Manrique Foundation - With out this man, Lanzarote would be full of high rise buildings, odd coloured houses and no doubt bright neon flashing lights.  The most famous man in Lanzarote is responsible for keeping Lanzarote the way it is.  His house which you can visit was built in to a lava field using the natual bubble formations to make rooms, this will be one of the unique houses you will ever visit.

Excursions

Submarine Safaris - This excursions gives you the change to go deep (and to the bottom) of the ocean.  The submarine is one of around 10 custom built for tourists.  You may never get a chance to do this again so it is worth the money.  You are taken below the surface and visit ship wrecks and try to find the friendly and very large sting ray.

Sea Master Canarias - A new excursion to the island but something that is worth doing.  You are taken out on a very expensive boat with your own skipper and deck hand/waitress to hunt for dolphins, see Lanzarote from a totally different perspective or to just simply releax and take life easy.
