Some time ago Nexus airways which was the brain wave of Daniel Reilly, a 18 year old student, was all set to offer cheap flights to Lanzarote but after a few set backs it looked like Nexus Airways would never ‘take off’.

Lanzarotetourist.com sent Nexus an e-mail asking if there was any further progression with the new airways, responce is below:

After our problems last year with our main backer going bankrupt, and having to put all of our passengers with other airlines, we have spent this year trying to find new backers, we are reaching the final stages in this, and hope to have news on our routes in September, we are aiming to have flights start to Lanzarote for Christmas.

Fares for will be from £49 one-way.

With Jet2.com starting just before christmas and hopefully Nexus Airways, this could be the start of some real cheap flights to Lanzarote.
