Welcome to Lanzarote Tourist

Not one disappointing thing about Lanzarote

There is not one disappointing thing about Lanzarote, everything is great from the people, to the bars, and many many restaurants, and the many many beautiful tourist attractions, and there are many.

Lanzarote takes my breath away, and I have now been 4 times and every time I see a little more. My favorite place is Puerto Del Carmen old town. Firstly Arrecife airport is small, but very well organised, with no stress whatsoever. From there a roughly 15 to 20 min taxi ride (very cheap, around 10 to 14 euros) takes you to the gorgeous old town, which overlooks the harbour.

I strongly recommend the San Francisco 2, where I personally have stayed 3 times now and really wouldn't go anywhere else. The reason for this is that it isn't too big, but it isn't too small, the people are amazing, the apartments are super, and very clean, but they also have everything you need from a DVD player (and TV obviously), DVDs, books, hairdryer etc etc the list really is endless, but what I like most about it is it feels like home, as I have never felt as welcome and as relaxed on any holiday I have ever been on, as I have been there.

From there, around 3 mins walk away, your first stop (well after you pass some gorgeous restaurants), should be the hanging monkey, well if I told you everything about one of the best pubs even if it is the smallest, and I really do mean small, it has to win hands down for being the friendliest, but I could speak about this place all night, so all I will say is please visit it is a must.

Ok, I will tell you a bit about it, It is owned by Sarah and Jon-Paul, who are both English although you would swear J-P (for short),is Spanish, and don't worry you will know where you are going as you will hear Sarah's laugh from the corner. They have owned the bar for 2 years now, and they have I would be lying if I gave you a percentage but an awful lot of return custom, as if you have been once you have to return again, as it is so friendly, it doesn't have a TV which means you get to know other holiday makers, and sometimes even laugh at their antics, which is probably when I am there. Anyway please visit it is a must you will love it and it is very very child friendly.

Across the road is the Sports bar which is also a nice pub to go too. Straight across from there is the Fisherman's Inn, what can I say about there, well it is owned by 3 lovely fella's that do a mean Sunday Roast, and I mean it is too die for, the guys make you most welcome, and they have every kind of alcohol under the sun, go there you will not be disappointed.

I think I must be running out of words, but I could chat about the Old Town all night, another really ace thing to do is to walk further down the road and you will come to St Patrick's Well, the Irish corner, there is a Tina Turner tribute on in their, on Tuesdays and Friday nights, she is amazing her name is Rebecca and she is stunning also, this is a must see.

Ok, ok another must see is Flannigan's Show Bar this has free entrance, but you would pay to see it, won't tell you much about it as don't want to spoil it but go, you must, the tears will be running down your face (with laughter), I have never seen anything like it and I go a lot of times when I am there.

I really could tell you a million good things about Puerto Del Carmen and every one of them is better than the next, but I won't spoil your fun, go find out for yourself, you won't go on holiday anywhere else, I promise you that.
