Catlanza (Catamaran)

The Catamaran excursions is something that can be enjoyed by all the family. This excursions allows you to venture out to sea on a catamaran worth around 1 million dollars.

Like all the excursions you can book this trip through your tour rep, excursion shops or by visiting the offices in Puerto Calero, although this excursion might seem expensive don't forget that you are paying for a 4 hours trip which includes all your food, drink and pickup/drop off from your resort.

On arriving at the catamaran you are required to remove your socks and shoes, you will be shown onto the catamaran where you will listen to some safety instructions while the boat leave the harbour. Once the crew have finished this you will be free to walk about and explore your home for the next 4 hours.

The sail takes you down towards Puerto Del Carmen giving people standing at the old town harbour a chance to see the catamaran and then you head off to Playa Grande for some more showing off. You will eventually be taken to one of the nicest beaches in Lanzarote, Papagayo.

Once you hit Papagayo beach the crew will drop anchor and give you a chance to try out some swimming/snorkeling around this area, you will also have the chance to have some food at this point (they offer a vegetarian option as well) and a ride on the back of a rather fast jet ski.

Side notes:

This trip is all inclusive so you can have as much drink as possible (alcoholic and soft drinks) but remember you are out at sea.

There are some sun bathing areas at the front of the catamaran, if you are going to sunbath remember to use plenty of sun cream. Not only is it normally always hot in Lanzarote but once you are out at sea the sun reflects off the water helping you tan a lot quicker!

If you can suffer from sea sickness be sure to take something before you go, although the water around Lanzarote is normally quite calm you can't also get smooth sailing.
