While on holiday to Lanzarote it is quite common for people to have a day trip to Fuerteventura. Fuerteventura is located so close to Lanzarote that you can actually hop over to this island in less than 20 minutes.
To Island hop from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura there are two main ways to get there, both by Ferry and both leaving from Playa Blanca. The two different companies are Fred Olsen Express and Armas.
The difference between the two main companies is the price and the time it takes. The Fred Olsen Express which take less than 20 minutes is more expensive where as the Armas will take around 40 minutes and is cheaper.
Both of the Ferries however take you to the same destination in Fuerteventura, Corralejo. There are a few other companies which will take you to Fuerteventura such as the OceanCatt and this does leave from Puerto del Carmen.

The Fred Olsen express also offers a free bus leaving from Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen and within Playa Blanca.
