Teguise was once the Capital of Lanzarote. It's main attraction to tourists now is the fact it's an old town with over 500 years of History. Just walking around this town gives you the feeling
that you have stepped back in time and you have finally found a typical Spanish village.
The main day that any tourist heads to Teguise is a Sunday for the Market. The Teguise market is on every Sunday of the year and is nearly always full of tourists trying to find a bargain.
They are hundreds of stalls for people to have a look round with many entertainers around the area. There are local bars open and ready to serve you with drink or food from early in the morning to when the market closes.
The market in Playa Blanca is held at Marina Rubicon on a Wednesday between the hours of 09:00 and 14:00. This market is still quite new to the area but does offer a good selection of clothes, jewellery and many other Lanzarote gifts.
There are busses that go to Playa Blanca on a regular occurrence from the main tourist resorts.
The market, once finished gives you the chance to walk around Marina Rubicon to visit some of the nice bars and restaurants in the harbour.
