Lanzarote Golf

Lanzarote, although dry and volcanic has managed to grow enough grass in order to provide tourist a 18 hole golf course.

Costa Teguise Golf Course

The golf course is located in Costa Teguise and has been and has been around for about 30 years now. This course was built buy John Harris in 1978 at the foot of an old volcano. The golf course has 18 holes with a 72 par on lush green grass.

The golf course in Costa Teguise has some facilities such as a clubhouse which includes a Pro-shop, Restaurant and a Coffee Bar. You are able to hire out golf clubs, golf balls and buggies.

Staying close to the golf course is also possible as Costa Teguise has a very good selection of 5 and 4 star Hotels.

Costa Teguise Golf Course

Lanzarote which has only has this 1 golf course for the past 30 years is not changing to attract people who take golfing holidays.

At the moment Puerto del Carmen is going to be home to the second golf course in Lanzarote, although construction is going slow and hitting problems the course is due to be finished at the end of 2007.

There are a number of other golf courses planned for Lanzarote but for now they are just on paper. The planned golf courses are for Puerto Calero and Playa Blanca.
